Chair of Newark Advisory Board for Pathways to College Named President of Turrell Fund

Evan L. Delgado, chair of the Newark Advisory Board for Pathways to College, has been named president of the Turrell Fund, with specific responsibility for programs and planning across the Fund’s catchment. The Fund makes grants in the counties of Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union in New Jersey, and throughout the state of Vermont.

Delgado previously served as executive vice president, vice president of programs and director of programs at the Fund. In his new role, Delgado continues to report directly to Curt Fields, chief executive officer.

Delgado has served as chair of the Newark Advisory Board for Pathways to College since 2020. The esteemed Newark Advisory Board provides strategic advice, thought leadership and community insight to increase awareness of and support for Pathways to College among Newark’s school, civic and parent audiences.

Delgado is a native of California, and he holds an undergraduate degree in sociology with Honors from Princeton University. Prior to joining the Turrell Fund, Evan served as the Burke Foundation’s first program lead.
